    To the New Year 2024

Well I am looking forward to a new year and what ever that will bring. These last couple days I have been hold up on the couch with a sinus cold and thinking back on the year. What my goals were, did I achieve them, what my goals are, how will I achieve them. You...

        • Gloria

You are your own worst critic. You know what was in your minds eye when you first conceived of an idea and anything falling short of that is a failure. In your opinion. Those of us without your talents can only marvel.
There is nothing like creating out of something that of what others perceive as just things. A blank canvas, pots of paint mean nothing until you put you into a finished project. I knit, you take a ball of yarn and some sticks and create something that ends up being useful, beautiful and very much appreciated by the receivers.
Never stop learning and challenging yourself. ReplyCancel

Gloria, thank you for being one of my cheer leaders! I agree we are our own worst critics, I think we need to be to keep growing. But I also have those moments of Wow! Wow I created that. And I’m a junky for that feeling! ReplyCancel

The importance of pictures ~ a story about my Dad’s legacy

I want to share with you a personal story that landed on my lap this morning. Back in 2008 I was living in Prince George, BC, that was the year my Dad sold the logging portion of his company. He had asked me to go to the auction to take some final pictures of his...

          Mother’s Day Rain Check

Normally when May hits I am busy with Mommy & Me sessions. These sessions are truly one of my favourite special events and I am saddened that my studio is silent. There is good news coming tho, and we won’t be shut in and shut down for too much longer. How things change, what restriction...

Behind the Scenes | Making of The Grizzly Bear Hunter

This past week I was working on my Fearless series project. The project inspiration started last year when I created the little cowboy image below. The little cowboy was a picture I took of my son about 8 or 9 years ago and added the bull last year while I was working on my Shoot...

2020 what do you have in store….

fine art portrait photographer serving central Alberta and beyond

2019 is gone like a whisper in the wings of time. I’ve reflected some on the past decade, the beginning was certainly a beginning, we moved to a new province and laid some foundations, things were shiny and bright. The last half of the decade stole some key people from our lives, our foundation cracked...
