Today I would like to share with you Michelle’s story. Michelle is quiet and a little shy on first meet, but she was pretty excited for her session. She said she couldn’t stop smiling through the whole thing because she was so excited! That is what I love most about this project and getting to meet all these lovely ladies is being about to share in their happiness.
Michelle has had several hard years with serious health issues and the sudden loss of her Dad. She had one of her kidney’s removed, that had a large tumour that was cancerous, she had to undergo a full hysterectomy due to fibroids which luckily were not cancerous. And then to add to the stress of all this Michelle’s husband lost his job of 20 years due to Covid layoffs, and it was completely unexpected. Something you don’t really think of when you have invested 20 years in a company that you will suddenly find yourself starting over. Luckily he was able to find a new career path quickly and although it will take them down a new road it seems to be a very exciting opportunity.
One thing we all take for granted is our health, and we don’t understand or know just how precious it is until it’s suddenly gone. You always think you will have time. Time to heal or time to get in shape or time to eat better or what ever it is but time is a fickle thing. I have seen a lot of our Fab40+ Ladies have taken their health in hand and have been working hard at reaching their health goals and I am inspired by you all.
Michelle added an Art Portrait to her session. Here is Michelle!
