Meet Laura. Laura is a professor of literature at RDC, and is a published author and is currently working on a series of short stories based on her own life expereinces. This year, just last week in fact, she celebrated her 50th birthday. Happy Birthday Laura, I hope you have an amazing year.

This was something out of Laura’s comfort zone, as it is with most of us women, but she is a story teller just like me and was interested in an art portrait. She uses words and I use pictures and together we created a story that shows a little glimpse in to what feeds Laura’s soul. When I create an art portrait for someone I like to layer in subtle elements that may not mean anything to a stranger looking in but will add special meaning to the person or persons in the images. The letters highlighted represent the important people in her life, the typewriter of course represents her profession and passion. It was a pleasure creating this piece for you Laura, thank you for being open and willing to trust me with a part of your story.
