Today we meet JoAnn. JoAnn will be celebrating 43 this year. She wanted to be a part of this project to celebrate a couple things just for herself. Sometimes women need an excuse to do a shoot like this and they say they are doing for their significant other, and I always feel a little like that is such a shame. Why is it so hard for us women to just celebrate ourselves for ourselves? We certainly deserve too.
But that is what brought JoAnn here to meet me and I just want to say “good for YOU” at the top of my lungs. JoAnn had kids at a young age and spent her early life raising them, now that they are grown and nearly out of the house she has gone back to school, and will graduate this year with her Bachelor of Arts as an Anthropology major with minors in Classics and Psychology. She said she wanted to show her kids that its never too late to follow your dreams, or start something new, or go find yourself. I think that is one of the absolute best lessons we can share with our kids.
Congratulations JoAnn, you have obviously worked very hard and the rewards will be all yours. Thank you for coming and sharing your journey with me and letting me tell it.
