[MODEL CALL] The Simply Woman Project for 2019 ~ models needed

A few weeks ago I applied for a very BIG and very exciting opportunity to become part of Sony’s Alpha Female campaign. They are still reviewing the applications but I have decided that I want to be Alpha Female and so I am going to get started doing just that. Part of the benefits of being chosen is to have your work displayed in two gallery showings, one in New York and one in LA. OMG could you even imagine! That’s all I can think about.

I will have 6 months to put together a collection of my work for a showing. 6 months can be a long time or a very short time depending on how you are looking at it, so today I am putting together my thoughts on what I want to include in this collection and of course it is pretty easy to pick “Simply Woman” as my theme. But don’t we all know that “woman” is anything but simple, isn’t she?

I am looking for 12 women who will model for me. Real women, not professional models, ages 18-101, who want to have a beautiful portrait created of themselves. No purchase necessary. You must be willing to sign a model release, dress in the costume of my choosing (we will plan this in advance together) and be part of an online media campaign to promote my work, these images may also be sold as fine art prints.

I would like to choose a mixture of women: different ages, different stages in life, mothers, pregnant, long hair, short hair, black hair, red hair, freckles, wrinkles, Spanish, African, Norwegian, Korean, anyone who might have a traditional cultural costume or story to tell, etc….. I think you get the idea, pretty much any woman who wants to see themselves in a beautiful portrait.

This project is to showcase the beauty of simply being a woman. This story will vary between each person. Costume, hair + make up will be provided/collaborated.
