It was sheer joy on Lorraine’s face when I opened the door to let her in on the day of her photo shoot. She was so excited! Lorraine is 64 years young, born and bred in Alberta. She farms cattle by Leslieville, AB with her hubby of 43 years. 43 years that is quite an accomplishment, along with 2 kids and 4 grandkids.
Lorraine is a self professed “super organized person”, she enjoys woodworking, loves music and she shares this with her son who is often introducing her to new music. I was kind of surprised when Lorraine mentioned she liked the Dead South, who I also really like. Lorraine loves family history and has traced her roots back to a master pastry chef in France in 1600.
Lorraine has never had professional portraits taken and she was very excited to do this for herself. She brought all that joy and energy to her session and really gave herself to the experience. She danced, we laughed, we chatted easily and over all it was one of the most memorable shoots for me and I am so glad she chose to join us in the project.
