This is Lesley, 42 years Fabulous! She was born and raised on a farm in Saskatchewan, moved to Northern AB after completing her teaching degree in 2003, and then moved to RD in 2005. She teaches Grade 3. Lesley enjoys staying active with golf, hiking, cross country skiing, walking and spending time with friends and family playing cards, board games, going to concerts and travelling. She also enjoys to cook and bake. Lesley joined the project after having a visit with her two besties who had also signed up to be in this project and recommended she do it too. Lesley says she is proud of the woman she is at 42, tho she has had some hardships, the loss of her only child as a stillborn late in pregnancy, divorce shortly afterward and the loss of both her parents before she was 40. She feels finally like she is on to a brighter future for herself as she enters in to this next phase of life. She is passionate about keeping fit and taking care of her health and feels the healthiest she has been since her 20s. This project is Lesley’s way of celebrating her accomplishments. She says, “We all have a story to tell. Some are full of painful and emotional chapters. I am looking forward to the next chapters of my life. It’s time. I am 42 and Fabulous!”
