This is Michelle. Michelle is 47 and a registered nurse, she loves the mountains, hiking, antique shopping and singing with her hubby, Sheldon.
Michelle wanted to join the project last year and talked herself out of it, us women to this all the time, it is very hard for us to do something that is just for “me”, but when this years project started up she jumped in.
Michelle was a single mom at a young age with a baby who had some serious medical issues and she had to face that on her own. She then met her first husband who died tragically in a fire accident and ended up raising her son on her own again. Then she met Sheldon and they have now been married for 7 years. When she talks of him her whole being glows and you can tell he is a good guy who lifts her up. It was Sheldon who gave her the encouragement to do something just for Michelle. And that something was this project, I am so glad!
Michelle feels like she lost herself along her way, she says she used to be fun and care free and longs to find that side again. Being a front line worker over these last few years has been draining. I could tell that this project meant a lot to her, it goes much deeper than pictures for her, and it was very nice for her to share her emotions about it all with me. Thank you Michelle.
