Today I get to share with you some of the images from Christine’s Fab@40+ session. I don’t know Christine personally, she came to me through this project, she is pretty quiet and shy I imagine until you get to know her a little better. I remember Christine from her consultation because we just sat and talked for over an hour, conversation was easy. Some people are just like that and some it takes a while to get too that comfort level.
When Christine came for her session she told me she considered not coming, and she was quiet and nervous. Most people who have never experience a glamour or boudoir session are pretty nervous, it takes a lot of courage and trust to put out all your vulnerabilities in front of a camera hoping I can show you a little something you might not see yourself in the mirror. That is what these sessions are all about. Christine showed up and we did the rest to help celebrate her.
Some women have big stories to tell, the kind that no one at 40 should be telling but it has become a story that effect us all in some way. Christine is another of our cancer survivors, she’s had both breasts removed and reconstructed. If you are not familiar with what a mastectomy looks like, you might think reconstruction looks like a pair of new boobs, yay! But that is not how it is. There is a lot of scar tissue to try and form back in to a natural boob-like shape. To be honest with you I had no idea either, my own Mom has had both of hers removed and still I had no idea until our brave ladies have bared their scars and put a whole bucket full of trust in me. I feel privileged and blessed to be able to tell these kinds of stories because they show me just how important these sessions are.
Here is Christine, thank you for being a part of this project.
